Machine Cinema “GenDojo” Community Call

​Hey everyone,

​This Friday 11am-12pm PT / 2pm-3pm ET is our weekly digital get together to connect on how we are all making our way through this new era for creative industries and AI among other emergent technologies, sharing ideas, tips, knowledge amongst ourselves. 

​Our group is an amazing mix of creators/producers/builders/some new to this stuff/ some OG/ all of us constantly learning.

​You can join however you want - camera on, camera off. It's ok if you just want to listen, but it's more fun if you participate. We usually meet every two weeks.

​This week we are heavy on the theme of AI for Writing joined by 2 great experts on the topic.

​Jay Dixit - writer, writing professor, and AI educator. He was Head of Community for Writers at OpenAI, where he led efforts to guide writers, educators, and students on how use AI thoughtfully and ethically. He has spoken at Harvard, Columbia, Wharton, and the Brown Institute for Media Innovation. His mission is to help writers, artists, and educators use AI in thoughtful, ethical ways — not to outsource the thinking process, but as a creative collaborator: a sounding board, thinking partner, research assistant, and editor.

​Fred Graver - 4-time Emmy Winning writer and producer (Letterman, Cheers, In Living Color, Jon Stewart), executive at Disney, MTV Networks and Discovery, former head of TV at Twitter and Product Manager with the AI teams at Microsoft. He’s most recently gone all-in on AI in film and television and his work can be found at The AI Writers’ Room (aiwritersroom.substack.com).
