With your instructor, Muriel, learn about the cultural practice of henna across the globe, and practice simple designs you can do at home for celebrations, or just for yourself! Take home all-natural henna by Gopi Henna, along with practice templates. We’ll serve halal and vegan lumpia, ube cake, and calamansi juice!

This class takes place during Ramadan, which means we will have plenty of snacks, flexible start and end times, and comfortable places to pray.

In class, we’ll cover:

  • Safety & Materials, and the importance of using natural, plant-based henna

  • Hygiene & Aftercare

  • Cultural History & Context

  • Design Foundations

  • Traditional Motifs

  • Meaning and Symbolism
