WOMEN IN BUSINESS LUNCHEON WITH KIM FOLSOM
Lunch with Women in Business Potential Club Members
We welcome CityU's prospective and early members of the Women in Business Club for an informal, conversational setting for students to connect with one of the women in business pioneers, Kim Folsom, hear about her career journey, ask questions, and gain insight into what it takes to lead in turbulent times and to defy the odds!
ABOUT KIM FOLSOM
Kim Folsom is a founder, CEO, and unapologetic builder of opportunity. As the Founder and CEO of Founders First Capital Partners, she helps women, immigrants, and founders of color turn real businesses into scalable, revenue-producing companies—without asking them to give up their power, voice, or equity too early.
Kim’s work is rooted in lived experience and global perspective. She knows what it means to navigate systems not built for you—and how to win anyway. Through capital, coaching, and community, she has helped thousands of underrepresented entrepreneurs grow revenue, create jobs, and build generational impact.
She also serves on the Board of Trustees of City University of Seattle, where she champions access, education, and leadership pathways for diverse global talent.
Her message to young women entrepreneurs everywhere is simple and fierce: you belong here, your business is real, and you don’t have to ask permission to build something powerful.
