19.05 - 19.25 "Privacy Infrastructure for Real-World Asset Applications" by Jay Albert, Devrel Engineer, Midnight Foundation (remote)
As real-world asset systems and regulated financial applications move on-chain, developers face a critical challenge: how to verify sensitive information like identity, ownership, eligibility, and compliance without exposing that data publicly. Midnight provides a privacy-first blockchain designed for exactly this problem, using zero-knowledge proofs and selective disclosure to let users prove what’s needed while keeping personal or financial data private. This talk will show how privacy infrastructure transforms what’s possible in RWA projects, enabling compliant, user-protective applications that simply can’t be built on transparent blockchains.
