​"Outside to Inside: the Worlds we Imagine"

​After a busy summer, I am excited to share my new space within the Beaumont studios!

​Outside to Inside is an exhibit about the different ways I am imagining my world. I will display sketchbooks from this year of travel to showcase my personal growth and the new ideas I have imbibed. On the walls, find paintings that reference the sketchbooks, but were re-imagined inside the studio with different art-materials.

​Outside refers to the world that I observe, and the act of drawing in outdoor spaces. Inside refers to the studio work that reinterprets simple line-drawings as paintings with colour and value.

​Through it all, the thread of imagination. What we see, and what we focus upon. What we rework, and how we translate across visual languages.
