Monday, April 13 — AI in the Public Square
AI is already inside your city hall, your university, and your community — the question is whether it's working for you. On Day 1 of AI Week, we bring together NCDIT leadership and Durham County officials for a frank conversation about real AI applications in public service and education.
Then we flip the room. The second half is a citizen ideation workshop where you help map how AI can solve problems in your own community. This isn't a lecture. It's a working session.
You'll walk away with: a clearer picture of how AI is being deployed locally, connections to the people making those decisions, and your own community-mapped AI ideas on paper.
