Networks that Empower: Organising Together to Transform Tech
Drawing on academic research on gender and technology, Jess Fiorelli (Hasselt University) will unpack how networks support women to claim space in tech, challenge inequality, and create alternative pathways into entrepreneurial ecosystems. We will map the existing network landscape in Belgium, reflect on why and how we network, and explore strategies for organising together.
Whether you’re considering a tech career, launching your own business, already working in the sector, or simply love connecting people—this event is for you. Men and allies are warmly encouraged to join and contribute.
The session combines a short presentation with interactive networking activities, helping participants connect, share experiences, and expand their networks to make the tech sector more inclusive.
