Mobile Architecture Lab
MAL Lab 1 — Flutter & Foundations: Architecting an Offline-First, AI-Powered App
The opening session of MAL (Mumbai Mobile Architect Lab). Free, application-gated, capped room.
Title Sponsor: Measure (measure.sh)
Notes: Venue is changed to Paytm office.
Location: Paytm Office, Open in Google Maps
This isn't an intro-to-Flutter meetup. In one focused 4-hour session you'll lay the architectural foundation of a real product — a hyperlocal marketplace with offline-first, on-device AI — and walk away with a working skeleton and your first set of architecture decisions on paper.
WHAT TO EXPECT ⚡ Flutter architecture that survives real scale — not toy demos 🤖 Your first taste of on-device AI: inference that works with no network 🏛️ How senior engineers actually make (and defend) architecture decisions 🛠️ Hands-on build time — start your own app with the speakers in the room
A mix of sharp, no-fluff talks and real building. Every talk is tight (30 min), and you leave with code, decisions, and direction — not just slides.
WHAT YOU LEAVE WITH • A walking skeleton of your app in Flutter • Your first architecture decision record (ADR) • A clear path to extend it before Lab 2 • A spot in the cohort, if you keep shipping
WHO SHOULD COME Mid-to-senior mobile engineers, tech leads, and technical founders. Some Flutter familiarity helps, but the focus is architecture and decisions, not syntax. Not for absolute beginners.
ABOUT MAL This is Lab 1 of a 5-part series (Flutter → iOS → Android → React Native → Scale) that turns senior engineers into T-shaped mobile architects over 3 months. Attend Lab 1 to unlock the rest. More at https://mumbaiarchitecturelab.netlify.app/
