In-Depth: Element 84
This talk is an overview of Cloud-Native Geospatial, the practice of processing, analyzing, and managing geospatial data using cloud computing infrastructure. This approach leverages the scalability, flexibility, and efficiency of cloud services to handle large volumes of geospatial data, such as satellite imagery, LiDAR data, and vector maps. This is a broad introduction to the components of Cloud-Native Geospatial, including standards for interoperability, cloud-native file formats, and orchestration of cloud workflows to incorporate data provenance. At the end of this talk you should have an understanding of the basic pieces used in Cloud-Native Geospatial implementations from search & discovery, management, and large-scale processing and visualization.
