Poetry & Produce
Join us for an afternoon of tea, words, and tastes: we will present a multi-course experience pairing baked goods with tea and poetry that inspires it!
Poetry & Produce celebrates the words and tastes that nourish us. Exploring late September’s seasonal produce, three chefs will present baked goods inspired by a poem, with an herbal tea pairing. Join us to connect over small bites, lyrical poetry, discussion and a facilitated writing exercise.
Through this gathering, we’re creating a space to explore how food and language intersect. Engage with themes of seasonality, connection to Earth, and memory, while creative dishes encourage reflection on the past and future of seasonal consumption. Come hungry, and leave with new friends and new perspectives!

Facilitators
Kyle, Mia, and Swathi share a love for baking, and see it as an important way to build relationships and invite community. For the past three years, they have hosted “pop-up bakeshop,” a regular series that aims to forge connection over baked goods, cafe beverages, and creativity. “Pop-up bakeshop” started in the farmer’s market, but over time has had its home in parks, picnics, and apartments.
