About Event

​Join us for a 1-hour guided movement session where we’ll explore shaking things off and bringing things forth.

​This gentle, accessible practice invites you to move in whatever way feels natural, helping you:

  • ​Unwind tension you might not even realise you’re holding

  • ​Drop into a calmer, more present state

  • ​Feel more at home in your body and emotions

  • ​Gently balance your nervous system

​The session is grounded in the Non-Linear Movement Method®, a no-force, no-imposition somatic practice where your only instructions are to keep your eyes closed and maintain continuous, intuitive movement.

​No experience necessary—this practice can be done by anyone, regardless of physical ability, fitness level, or age.

​What to expect

  • ​The session will be held on Zoom, in your own space.

  • ​You’ll need a mat, rug, or blanket and a private space where you can move freely.

  • ​We’ll begin with a brief introduction and demonstration, followed by 45 minutes of movement with music, and time for rest and integration.

⭐️ This month's theme: Stirring the pot

As spring approaches, we'll use our March session to 'stir the pot', move any energy that might be stuck, and bring forth what might be stuck or unseen.

Often our emotions and internal experiences can live just below our conscious awareness. Using movement, we can invoke and invite these emotions closer to the surface, and start to bring more consciousness and curiosity to their wisdom.

👋 About your guide, Ocean ​​

I'm a movement practitioner and aficionado, with a deep curiosity for how we relate to our bodies, moment by moment. My approach blends intuitive movement, embodied anatomy, and nervous system literacy, rooted in years of studying my own body in motion.

Drawing from modalities like the Non-Linear Movement Method, yoga, breathwork, strength training, Feldenkrais, fascial maneuvers, authentic movement, and attention-based practices like yoga nidra (non-sleep deep rest), and Alexander Technique, my sessions are an embodiment of my current practice.

​​I've been known to create spaces that feel safe, playful, and deeply attuned, and I always invite you to meet yourself exactly where you are—with compassion, presence, and curiosity.

​​My sessions are always about listening inward and letting movement become a conversation with yourself.

​📌 A note on timing

​To maintain the integrity of the space, we won’t be able to admit arrivals more than 10 minutes after the start time.
