MIGAM x Art Studio Gong : Experience the Aesthetics - Korean <Tiger> Minhwa Workshop
About Workshop
Discover Minhwa (민화), Korean traditional folk painting, through a hands-on painting workshop.
In Minhwa, each motif carries its own meaning and symbolism. The tiger traditionally represents protection, courage, and the power to ward off negative energy, while its playful character is also one of the most recognizable features of Korean folk painting.
In this workshop, you’ll learn the basic techniques of Minhwa and paint your own tiger on a 15 × 15 cm Hanji canvas. You’ll be guided step by step, so no previous painting experience is needed.
Take a moment to slow down, enjoy the process of painting, and experience a piece of Korean art and culture through your own hands.
