a form of labour, a ritual of care, and a mechanism through which bodies, spaces, and
histories are regulated.

This forum brings together respondents with art curator, writer, and researcher Kwok Kian Chow. These critical conversations open outward to larger, unresolved questions: how do bodies, ecologies, and histories get marked for removal? Who decides what is cleaned, cleared, or preserved, and on whose terms? What do these acts of erasure leave behind, and what do they make impossible to recover? And what are the limits of art, research, and memory in tracing what has been lost?
