About Event

Introduction

Join us for an evening of open source AI. During the first hour, we'll start with some hands-on for students about a coding assistant called Bob (although all can join and learn). Students can compete in these challenges:

July: Challenge 1 | August: Challenge 2 | Total Prize Pool $15,000 USD
September: Grand Winner Announcement
October: Winner Spotlight at TechXchange Atlanta

At 6pm we'll have refreshments and networking, followed by sessions that describe AI open source activities at the Linux Foundation, the United Nations, and the community at large. There will be plenty of time for Q&A.

We are thrilled that some of our speakers are also presenting or leading sessions at the United Nations Open Source Week on June 22-26.

The event will be hosted by Dr Joan DeBello of St John's University and Susan Malaika of IBM & Generative AI Commons. Much appreciation to St John's University for providing the space and for their support.
