  A practical deep dive into building and managing reliable ingestion pipelines from legacy database systems into Databricks using Lakeflow Connect.

• ​5 Layers Instead of 3: How We Expanded the Medallion Architecture for ML in Energy (Michal Mec, CRM Model Tech Lead, E.ON CZ)
  How does E.ON CZ predict customer churn and cross-sell opportunities? In this talk, we present the data journey from a data warehouse through Azure Data Factory to production ML scoring on Databricks. We explain why we extended the classic Medallion architecture with two additional layers, how we orchestrate a scoring pipeline for 6+ models, and what we learned along the way.

• ​Unity Catalog Hide and Seek: Personal Data Protection in Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines (Tomáš Sezima, Head of Data Engineering at Datamole)
  Come hear how personal data can be protected natively inside Databricks pipelines. The case is real: HR master data with private contact details and salaries arriving into a lakehouse that was built for operational data. After just enough GDPR to set the context, we'll walk through a practical data classification, the account groups and service principals that decide who sees what, and the two ways Unity Catalog enforces that decision: column masks and row filters in the table definition, or ABAC policies on governed tags. The core of the talk is the code: masks generated from a source specification in PySpark inside Lakeflow Spark Declarative Pipelines.
