The DMV Tech Super Meetup
Join us for The DMV Super Meetup, an evening designed to bring the DMV’s tech communities together. Meet local communities and technologists, discover events, and find opportunities to join, speak, volunteer, sponsor, or collaborate.
The evening will feature food and drinks, an AI panel with Capital One, community showcases, and an expo where you can meet each group.
Developers, designers, product managers, and technologists of all experience levels are welcome. You do not need to be a current member of any participating community.
Agenda
5:30pm: Doors open, food, and networking.
6:30pm: AI Panel with Capital One, moderated by Steve Chen.
7:00 to 7:15pm: Community Showcase! Learn about each group, its mission, upcoming events, and their current needs.
7:15 to 8:00pm: Community Social & Expo

Getting to the Venue
Location: Capital One Center 1, 1600 Capital One Drive, McLean, VA 22102
Room: Maplewood Hall, 7th Floor
Metro: The McLean station on the Silver Line is next to Capital One Center.
Driving: Park in the “Retail Parking” lot next to Center 1. Take a ticket when entering because you’ll need it to exit the lot.
After entering Center 1, take the elevator to the 7th floor. Security will direct you to Maplewood Hall.

What should I bring?
Bring your questions, curiosity, and an ID.
Can I attend if my RSVP was not approved yet?
No. Due to security and venue constraints all attendees must have an approved RSVP (not pending). The status indicator will come in an email and be reflected on your Luma RSVP for this event.
What should I wear?
Casual attire is appropriate.
Can I arrive late?
Yes, but arriving before the 6:30pm panel will give you time to check in, grab food, and meet other attendees.
Why is this a thing?
A note from Steve, Executive Director & Founder of Code & Coffee:
Most tech meetups don't survive. I've spent a decade in the DMV tech scene and I've watched group after group quietly fade out.
In 2021, Code & Coffee restarted as the simplest possible idea: get coders together over coffee. Five years later it runs monthly in over 30 cities, entirely volunteer-led and sustainably.
What kept it alive wasn't an audience. It was the connections between the people who kept showing up and groups working together, not alone. Which is why we're getting together at Capital One to do something spectacular.
