About Event

What does it take to build AI agents that actually get things done? Join practitioners from Huawei and Cohere as they share how they're building agents that browse, code, and work across enterprise data and tools. Through live demos and technical walkthroughs, explore the different approaches behind agent development today.

More About the Sharings

Xiang Xiaoneng & Chia Kwang Yang (AI Engineers, Huawei) will share on "Building Web and Coding Agents with openJiuwen"

Explore how Web and Coding Agents are built using the open-source openJiuwen framework. Xiaoneng and Kwang Yang will demo how their Web Agent automates browser interactions such as clicking, scrolling, and browsing to complete end-to-end tasks, including a hotel booking, and dive into the underlying principles behind how it works.

They'll also introduce openJiuwen's Coding Agent, built on their Coordination Engineering framework. Rather than relying on a single agent, the system uses multiple agents to model the software development process. Hear more about the technical mechanics behind this approach and how it has performed on benchmarks such as Terminal Bench. (Technical Level: 200)

Chris Campbell & Brandon Chew (Cohere) will share on "From Prototype to Production: Building Agents with Cohere North"

Chris returns to Lorong AI to share what the team has been building over the past year, including a walkthrough of North, Cohere's platform for sovereign agentic AI.

Brandon will demo how North has been applied to enterprise use cases across Singapore and ASEAN, showing how teams can rapidly build and deploy agents that connect to their own data and tools, reason over complex workflows, and turn raw information into action. (Technical Level: 200)

More About the Speakers

Xiang Xiaoneng is an AI Research Engineer at Huawei Singapore Research Centre, where he works on large language models and multi-agent systems. He is a core developer of the open-source openJiuwen framework, contributing to its agent infrastructure and multi-agent products including JiuwenSwarm and DeepAgent. Prior to Huawei, he worked on multimodal LLMs, RAG, edge AI, and applied machine learning across NUS, A*STAR's Institute of High Performance Computing, Halliburton, and Pepperl+Fuchs.

Chia Kwang Yang is an AI Engineer at Huawei Singapore Research Centre, where he works on large language models and agentic systems. He contributes to the open-source openJiuwen framework, developing agent infrastructure and browser capabilities, alongside projects including JiuwenSwarm and Browser Pilot. Prior to Huawei, he worked on RAG systems and applied LLM projects across startups including SimpleAI and Atlas, as well as research at NUS.

Chris Campbell leads Cohere's Solution Architecture team across EMEA and APAC, helping enterprises deploy production AI systems. His background in cybersecurity (HackerOne, Darktrace) informs his approach to building secure, private AI deployments. This is his second Lorong AI appearance, having previously co-presented with Cohere co-founder Ivan Zhang on enterprise RAG and secure AI.

Brandon Chew is the Founding Solutions Architect, ASEAN at Cohere based in Singapore. He leads GTM engagements across Southeast Asia, ensuring that businesses unlock the value of Sovereign AI to drive secure innovation.
