Sessions are hosted virtually via Zoom with cameras optional and microphones muted during reading time.
You may bring any book, e-reader, or professional development material you're currently reading.
This is a Community Reading Hour.
There is no formal discussion or requirement. We begin each session with a brief reading from Daniel Pennac's "The Rights of the Reader," then settle into 50 minutes of focused, silent reading time.
We do encourage you to briefly introduce yourself and share what you're reading with other literacy leaders in our community.
Education is often an isolating profession. Our Silent Book Club creates space for literacy leaders to connect through the shared experience of focused reading time, while honoring individual choice in what and how we read.
