John Israel is a seasoned technology and cybersecurity executive with extensive experience leading global IT organizations, managing enterprise risk, and driving digital transformation.
As Global CISO of KPMG, John leads cybersecurity efforts in a highly complex and regulated environment. He has also played a significant role in advancing the operationalization of Generative AI, including strategies for securing AI systems and protecting organizations against emerging AI-driven threats.
Previously, John held senior leadership positions at Ciena and Verizon and spent more than a decade serving as a senior executive in the United States government, where his responsibilities included protecting highly sensitive national information.
