​Rogerio Robetti will introduce us Open J Proxy (OJP). OJP is an open-source project that rethinks JDBC data source interactions for Java applications. By providing built-in backpressure through controlled connection handling and a buit in circuit breaker, also introducing slow query segregation—ensuring long-running queries cannot monopolize the pool resources—OJP delivers predictable performance, improved fault tolerance, and stronger reliability. With seamless integration into modern Java stacks, OJP empowers developers to build database-driven systems that remain responsive under heavy load.

Based in Dublin, Rogerio has contributed to the success of organizations like Mastercard, Bank of America, and Huawei, and is a recognized advocate for modern software architecture and best practices in Java development. He’s a published author, holds several industry certifications, and is passionate about mentoring and innovation. In 2025 Rogerio founded the Open J Proxy (OJP) project.
