About Event

Hello JUGgers!

How are you? Ready for a 2026 full of challenges and learning opportunities? We certainly hope so! So, we're kicking off this year with a virtual 💻 event that we hope will be of interest to you 🙂 next 22nd of January at 19h CET.

Many of you work or have worked with a database connection pool, right? And have you optimised its use in an ecosystem where several instances of the same service are deployed—for example, Kubernetes-? I'm sure it wasn't easy 🤔 Well then, this event is for you 😉! Continue reading 👇

Rogerio Robetti will introduce us Open J Proxy (OJP). OJP is an open-source project that rethinks JDBC data source interactions for Java applications. By providing built-in backpressure through controlled connection handling and a buit in circuit breaker, also introducing slow query segregation—ensuring long-running queries cannot monopolize the pool resources—OJP delivers predictable performance, improved fault tolerance, and stronger reliability. With seamless integration into modern Java stacks, OJP empowers developers to build database-driven systems that remain responsive under heavy load.
