AI Wednesdays: The One About Multimodal AI (Round IV)
The first-prize winners of the GovTech x OpenAI Hackathon 2024, Zhao Wu and Zheng Kai, will be sharing their award-winning project, OneService Hotline. Designed as a helpful AI assistant, OneService Hotline simplifies the process of submitting cases or feedback on municipal issues, with a focus on supporting elderly users who primarily speak dialects or Singlish. The team will delve into the technical experience of building a multimodal speech-to-speech AI agent powered by OpenAI's Realtime API and Function Calling. (Technical Difficulty: 200)
Following that, we’ll have Jingjing, Co-Founder of Superbench, who will provide a look into their AI Assistant for SMEs. Learn about their customizable AI system, its integration across messaging platforms, and multi agents to power lead engagement and task automation. Explore the technical challenges and solutions in developing an AI that adapts to specific business processes! (Technical Difficulty: 100)
We’ll also have Adam from I2R to share insights on spatio-temporal foundational models. These models are crucial for analyzing and predicting patterns in various important applications. With how recent advancements in foundation models are revolutionizing the analysis and prediction of spatio-temporal patterns, Adam will share more about the current research, challenges, and future directions in this field. Join us to discuss how these models could impact urban planning, climate science, transportation, and more! (Technical Difficulty: 200-300)
Finally, we’ll have Dylan and Daryl from TheLucid, a budding start-up who will be sharing their solution for Singaporean students to practice their Mother Tongue Oral Examination skills with the help of AI. Their sharing will cover TheLucid’s impact on the education scene and a demonstration of TheLucid’s capabilities in real time. (Technical Difficulty: 200)
