​PIVOTAL X AIWI: Guest Lecture

​What to expect

​The talk will cover elements of the current landscape for whistleblowing in AI, including baseline legal protections across relevant jurisdictions. Using real example disclosures, AIWI will walk through the practical dos and don'ts of sharing concerns with the right people, and explore where the gaps are and what they mean in practice. They will also look at the different channels available (internal, public, and others), and how to think about timing: when it makes sense to act and what that decision looks like on the ground.

​Speaker

​Karl is the founder and managing director of AIWI, leading the organisation across its research/guidance, education, and policy work. He first worked on AI safety as a volunteer researcher at the Future of Humanity Institute, and brings a background as a former management consultant and tech founder (his SaaS company was acquired in 2023).
