From QA Automation to AI engineer

​Elena Perfilieva is an AI Engineer at Expeditors with eight years of experience in QA Automation and ten years in the U.S.

​Elena began her career as a QA Engineer in Novosibirsk and continued working in QA Automation after moving to the U.S. In early 2026, she transitioned into AI Engineering within Expeditors. Today, she helps ensure that AI operates reliably and securely across a large company:

• ​keeping internal data from being shared outside the company through AI tools;

• ​giving the company visibility into what AI is doing and control over which actions it can take;

• ​keeping AI’s access to data under control.
