​Up in The Cloud: Exploring New Heights in Development with Amazon Q and Agora invites students and aspiring developers on an exciting journey of discovery, creativity, and hands-on learning. Inspired by the spirit of adventure and exploration, this workshop is designed to help participants elevate their skills in modern application development using cutting-edge cloud and communication technologies.

​The event features two immersive workshops. The first introduces Amazon Q, AWS’s AI-powered assistant, where participants will learn how AI can enhance developer productivity, accelerate problem-solving, and support smarter coding practices. Through guided activities and demonstrations, attendees will explore how Amazon Q assists in building, understanding, and improving applications more efficiently.

​The second workshop focuses on Agora, a leading real-time engagement platform. Participants will dive into building interactive, real-time features such as live audio, video, and messaging—essential components of today’s connected applications. Hands-on exercises will demonstrate how real-time communication brings ideas to life and enables richer user experiences.

​Throughout the event, participants will collaborate in teams, engage in short presentations, and share their learnings—mirroring a journey from concept to creation. By the end of the workshop, attendees will gain practical experience, a clearer understanding of AI-assisted development and real-time technologies, and the confidence to build applications that truly reach new heights.

Grouping

• ​Each group will consist of 3–4 members.

• ​You’ll be working in groups throughout the hands-on activities.

• ​If you already have a group, that’s great — just stay together during the team assignments.

• ​If you don’t have one yet, no worries. We’ll place you with other participants who are also looking for a group so everyone is included.
