The hallway track: human-in-the-loop & AI in the SDLC #AI-Poland
The hallway track: human-in-the-loop, AI in the SDLC, and an evening to argue it out
Two short talks, then time to get into it.
Both come back to the same uncomfortable question: what does it take to let an AI agent near production, and who answers for it when it gets there?
Hosted by the Workflow Builder team, in partnership with AI Poland.
TALKS
Architecting human-in-the-loop for durable AI workflows
Łukasz Jaźwa, CTO at Workflow Builder
Temporal makes AI workflows durable: a run survives crashes, retries what failed and can wait for days. The hard part starts when a person
has to take part in that run. We walk through the architecture piece by piece: what the decider needs to see, how they learn that a run is waiting for them, and what changes when non-technical users draw the processes themselves.
You'll leave with a reference architecture for human-in-the-loop on Temporal and a clear line between what Temporal gives you and what you build around it.
Caught Mateusz Jagodziński's talk earlier during AI Poland? This is the other half of the picture. He shows the implementation: the signals, the timers, the live demo and everything that broke along the way. This one is about the decisions you make before any of that exists.
Beyond coding: the AI SDLC adoption challenge
Paweł Kubiak, Tech Lead AI x Frontend at LOT Polish Airlines
AI adoption is about much more than helping developers write code faster. It's about transforming the entire software development life cycle (SDLC), from research and requirements gathering to design, implementation, testing and delivery.
In this talk I'll share my experience of driving AI adoption from a tech lead's perspective, exploring the challenges, lessons learned and practical approaches to integrating AI across teams and processes.
We'll explore three key dimensions: People, Platform and Product, and why successful AI adoption requires more than just giving teams access to powerful AI tools.
