Roots Of Resilience: May 5th Planting Day
The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now!!! Step into a day of purpose, action, and impact. #IdealistDay5/5
Roots of Resilience invites you to be part of a meaningful tree planting experience dedicated to restoring our environment, strengthening our communities, and taking real steps against desertification. Every tree planted is a commitment to a greener, more resilient future.
We will begin the day at Block 2, Faculty of Agriculture, Kashim Ibrahim University, where participants will gather for a brief welcome and orientation. From there, we’ll move together to the Konduga–Njimtilo planting site, where hands will meet the soil and ideas will turn into action.
This event is open to students, volunteers, and anyone who cares about climate action and sustainable change. Whether you're planting your first tree or your hundredth, your presence matters.
What the day holds:
A guided tree planting experience
Connection with like-minded changemakers
A chance to contribute directly to land restoration
Show up with energy, curiosity, and a willingness to make a difference. Leave knowing you’ve helped grow something that will last for years to come.
Let’s plant hope. 🌱
