Open Studios: Mission for Inner City Cape Town

​At Open Studios 2025, Mission for Inner City Cape Town opens its doors to share a behind the scenes look at how the city experience is being re-energised.

The Mission will feature placemaking projects, 3D models, interactive building opportunities, tactical design challenges and insights into future possibilities.

The City’s LSDF and CBDMAP departments will also be present, sharing projects currently in development and open for public participation.

This event demonstrates how individuals, organisations, companies and government can collaborate to create a more welcoming, walkable and wonderful Inner City.

And of course, there will be drinks, some bites to eat, conversations and a memorable time.

Mission for Inner City Cape Town is a non-profit organisation that promotes and enhances the street-level experience for everyone that uses the Inner City.

We do placemaking, marketing, and data analysis to promote:
- Seating and greening
- Lighting
- Walking Routes
- Retail Curation
- Public art, activations and events
