Find Your Founding Engineer

​Hiring right now is broken. Post a role and you get buried under hundreds of AI-generated applications, and the engineers who've actually built something real get lost in the pile. This event is an attempt to fix that, at least for one evening in HSR Layout.

​We're bringing together

• ​funded early-stage founders (pre-seed to Series A) who are hiring their first engineers,

• ​engineers who want to be founding engineers, not employee number two hundred.

​The focus leans toward founders building in AI, agents, infra, ML tooling, applied AI, but if you're building in tech or something else and hiring, you're welcome too.

​On the engineering side, what matters is what you've shipped: products with real users, open-source work, tech systems you can talk through in depth. Not thin wrappers around someone else's API. Pedigree and years on a resume matter less here than what you can actually point to and explain.

​No panels, no pitches, no stage. Founders get a couple of minutes each to say what they're building and who they need, then it opens into conversation. The group is small and capped on purpose, so people can actually talk instead of shouting over a room.
