Four-Week Sprint · Week 3: Value Proposition Workshop
You've talked to users. You've put your IUP Initial Untested Product) in front of them. Now comes the question every builder has to answer: why would anyone pay for this?
With AI, anyone can build a product in a weekend, including your future customers. Week 3 is a hands-on workshop on defining your value proposition: what makes your idea worth paying for, and why users can't just build it themselves.
What we'll do
Value proposition workshop: find what makes your idea worth paying for
Pressure-test your value against what users have told you so far
Breakouts with mentors and TEL staff to sharpen your pitch and plan Week 4
Bring: your evidence so far. Who you talked to, what they said, and what broke when they tried your IUP. Rough is fine. A broken assumption counts as progress.
Who should come: all UW–Madison students. Teams and individual builders are welcome, and you don't need to have attended BuildFest or earlier Sprint weeks. If you're new, come with an idea or join a table.
