Kazi ya Kesho: Building the Future of Work on the Coast
Have you asked yourself where all the jobs are? We ask ourselves that a lot. In fact, it's what the Jobtech Alliance was built around.
We care about the future of work, and for us that starts with a simpler question: how do we create more ways for people to earn a living? That could mean a company helping drivers find work, helping creatives sell what they make, helping nurses find opportunities abroad, helping tuk-tuk drivers reach more customers, or helping small businesses stock up more easily.
A big part of our work is investing in the founders building these kinds of solutions. We also bring together founders, investors, researchers and people working to expand opportunities for young people and refugees across Africa. Our community now spans more than 38 countries and after years building it in Nairobi and other cities across Africa, we're coming to Mombasa.
We want to share what we've learned about where work is heading, introduce some of the founders in our community, and have a discussion about the state and future of jobs on the Coast.
Who is this for?
Coastal founders building businesses and platforms around work, income and livelihoods.
Investors, entrepreneur support organisation and hubs in the innovation space working with startups.
Youth organisations, government, researchers and others thinking about the future of work on the Coast.
Please note: We’re bringing together a curated group of founders and people working across the Coast’s jobs, skills and innovation ecosystem. Places are limited, so registration is required and we’ll confirm attendance ahead of the event.
This session is FREE and is part of Pwani Innovation Week 2026 by SwahiiliPot Hub Foundation. Attendees will be given a special pass to attend Pwani Innovation Week Wednesday session.
Registration is on approval basis. You'll receive confirmation of attendance within a week of registering.
Come with your questions, your perspective and your experience of the Coast. Let's talk about where the jobs are, where they're going, and what we can build next.
