​At Future Commerce, we draw inspiration from world-altering ideas found in literature, history, philosophy, culture, and beyond.

​One idea that has captivated us is that of the 19th-century salon. Salons were gatherings orchestrated to amuse and inspire, educate and entertain. We believe this is a lost art worth reviving. To join one of our salons is to meet interesting people, discover new ideas, and enjoy the best of times.

​We invite you to join us at Galo, a new Portuguese restaurant from Chef Nuno Sousa, the chef and founder behind West Village favorite Leitão. For our evening, we will have the distinction of hosting Galo’s first private event, gathering for an intimate dinner centered around Portuguese cuisine and thoughtful conversation.

​Inspired by Chef Nuno’s native Portugal, Galo explores the country’s culinary traditions from its coastline to its countryside. Guests can expect a menu designed for sharing, with Portuguese petiscos, fresh seafood, traditional rice dishes, and large format specialties that bring the spirit of the Portuguese table to the West Village.

​The evening's conversation will be briefly guided by Future Commerce co-founder Brian Lange, but mostly be a free flow of ideas between like-minded people.
