Life on the Edge: Stories from the Frontlines of Ocean & Climate Resilience
Oceanic Global and Edges of the Earth invite you to the world premiere of The Edge Effect - a 20-minute short film capturing three years of exploration across 45 countries and some of the planet’s most remote, rapidly changing ecosystems. From disappearing kelp forests to off-grid coastlines and coastal research stations, the film reveals how progress takes root in the margins, led by communities and innovators often overlooked in mainstream climate narratives.
Following the screening, expedition lead Andi Cross and Oceanic Global’s founder and executive director Lea d’Auriol will be joined by global collaborators featured in the film. Together, they will share stories from the journey, reflect on the power of cultural knowledge and lived experience, and explore how collaboration at the edges can accelerate climate action. Discover more about the collaboration here.
The evening will flow into community drinks, will be joined by global experts for a live conversation. The evening will conclude with informal networking and drinks available for purchase from the hotel’s curated bar.
