WHOOPS - Interactive Art Pop-Up by ARTIACT
We've been waiting to do this one! WHOOPS is ARTIACT's first Activation Pop-up, four days of art you can't just stand and look at.
Every work in the show is interactive, which means none of it finishes itself. It waits for you to touch it, move through it, or figure out how to talk to it. We brought six artists together because their work shares a refusal: it will not be looked at from a polite distance. So we built the show around what each piece needs, and we're asking you to do the same thing the work does, which is pay attention with your hands.
You'll see work by Lu Lyu, Han Bao, Miguel Gallego, Julia Daser, Minami Matsumoto, and Jackie Nam.
Four days, four nights, each one its own thing. Thursday opens the show. Friday through Sunday, we run daytime hours, 12 to 8 PM, with a different evening program every night, building to the loudest closing we can pull off.
Free to walk in and tune in for the evening programs.
Dress Code: Anything that makes people go WHOOPS.
show up. touch something. stay.
