In this session, we will discuss how playful learning and student agency can be used to improve educational outcomes and inspire creativity in students.

-How can we design education systems that encourage student-driven learning and foster a lifelong love of knowledge?

- What role can partnerships and innovative teaching practices play in ensuring all students, regardless of background, have access to quality education?

- How can education be leveraged as a tool for personal and community transformation, contributing to broader goals of equity and sustainability?

Discussion leaders

Ana Beatriz Bretos is a Program Manager at Escolas Criativas, dedicated to fostering creative educational initiatives that drive positive change in communities.

Kazi Mghendi is the Founder and Team Lead of Elimu Fanaka, a Kenyan non-profit committed to improving public primary education in rural areas through systems change and quality education access, drawing on nearly 15 years of humanitarian and social development experience.

Rachael Sears is the Vice President of Global Initiatives at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) and Executive Director of SNHU's Global Education Movement (GEM), providing U.S.-accredited degrees to refugee learners in Africa and the Middle East.

Ruthe Farmer is the Founder and CEO of Last Mile Education Fund, a social entrepreneur focused on tech inclusion, known for leading initiatives such as CSforAll, Technolochicas, and Aspiration.org.

Victor Ye is a Youth Delegate at We Are Family Foundation, dedicated to advocating for youth leadership and global initiatives that foster inclusivity and social impact.
