YU Jozi Chapter
Hello Jozi.
YU is hosting our first Jozi Chapter event, led by our local chapter leads, Khumo, Thutho and Zahran.
A huge thank you to them for helping bring this chapter to life, and to Bean There Coffee for hosting us at their space at 44 Stanley.
This is a chance to meet other people who care about Johannesburg, hear what Young Urbanists is already working on, and help shape what the Jozi Chapter should do next.
We will talk through current ideas, upcoming projects, and how members can get involved. The aim is simple: meet more often, build the local network, and turn ideas into action.
Date: 18th of June
Time: 18:00 to 19:30
Please arrive from 17:30
Venue: Bean There Coffee, 44 Stanley
Young Urbanists is an open platform for dialogue, engagement and action. We bring together practitioners, activists, government officials, civil society leaders, students and residents working toward more inclusive, accessible and sustainable South African cities.
This chapter is open to anyone who wants to learn, share, connect and help shape Johannesburg’s future.
About: The Jozi Chapter already has 88 members, was founded in 2022, and is linked to projects including Main St Sundays and street experiments in Rosebank.
