About Event

The Pittsburgh Tomorrow Leadership Corps is invited to attend the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra! 🎻 Come hear world-renowned classical pianist Emanuel Ax play Brahms with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra on Sunday March 8. We'll have a special session for the Leadership Corps with the symphony before the 2:30 p.m. concert.

  • 1:30PM: Meet Caroline Fisher, our Head of Storytelling (bio here), in the Box Office at Heinz Hall. She will be holding up a blue Pittsburgh Tomorrow hat.

  • 1:40PM: After everyone arrives and is checked in, we'll head to the PSO boardroom to meet James Santilli (Chief Experience Officer), a musician from the symphony, and Michael Lynch (Chief Operating Officer). Please think about a couple questions you can ask these folks!

  • 2:05PM: We'll head out to explore Heinz Hall.

  • 2:20PM: We'll be seated and wait for the concert to begin.

  • 2:30PM: The concert begins. There is a 2-hour run time with a 20 minute intermission.

  • 4:30PM: Concert and event conclude.

About the performance:
"There’s so much expressive power in this famous piano concerto – one of Brahms’ most personal works and a cornerstone of the repertoire. Who better to hear it from than the world-famous (and Pittsburgh favorite) Emanuel Ax? Pair this delicacy with Beethoven and a world premiere of a work by Jacob Bancks, whose music has been praised as “colorfully orchestrated, invitingly lyrical” (The New York Times) and “highly caffeinated” (The Boston Globe)."
