About Event

Join LaFamilia, Humanize HQ, Libra Leaders, for an intimate evening bringing together founders and investors during National Hispanic Heritage Month.

Two GPs, standing at opposite ends of the same journey. Stephanie Michael Silva is raising Libra Fund I right now. Ashley Ryder of Vamos Ventures has already closed hers. They're hearing very different things from their LPs these days, and they almost never get the chance to compare notes in public.

This is that conversation, moderated by Larissa Carrera, Founder of Humanize HQ. Stephanie and Ashley will get into what LPs are questioning in the age of AI, how those questions land differently before and after a fund closes, and what each of them wishes the other side understood. Expect their own paths to becoming GPs, how their fund theses take shape, how AI is changing the way funds manage their portfolios, the real texture of fundraising right now (one of them still mid raise, the other closed and deploying), and what wealth transfer actually looks like once capital starts moving.

This isn't open networking. We're curating founders in AI, Fintech, and Healthcare who are raising now or will be in the next 6-12 months, alongside active check-writers, angels, VCs, and fund managers.

Format: 30-minute fireside chat followed by a networking happy hour.

When: Thursday, September 17, 2026, 6:00-8:00pm ET
Where: Ashurst Perkins Coie, 1155 6th Ave, New York, NY 10036 (between 44th and 45th)
