​Join us for the EWA Grow Demo Day 2026, bringing together women-led agrifood startups, mentors, investors, industry professionals and the wider entrepreneurial community for an afternoon of pitches, discovery and conversation.

​About the programme

​The Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA) programme by EIT Food, co-funded by the European Union and implemented by Esade, supports women entrepreneurs in the agrifood sector through personalised mentoring, practical training and connections across the innovation ecosystem.

​EWA Grow helps founders strengthen their business models, develop their market strategies and prepare for growth. Demo Day is an opportunity to discover their ventures, hear how they have progressed and explore what comes next.

​Meet the cohort

​The 2026 cohort brings together scientists, technologists and entrepreneurs working on challenges across the food system. Their ventures span:

• ​Regenerative and precision agriculture: soil health, biological inputs and digital tools to support farmers.

• ​Food biotechnology and circular production: fermentation and new ways to turn agricultural side streams into valuable ingredients.

• ​Nutrition and food safety: functional foods, alternative proteins and solutions for specific dietary needs.

• ​Food waste reduction: tools that help businesses and consumers make better use of food.

​From emerging ventures testing their solutions to more established businesses preparing to scale, the cohort reflects the breadth of women-led innovation in agrifood.

​Hear founders pitch their businesses to an expert jury, explore their solutions during the startup exhibition and meet the people behind the projects. Connect with founders and fellow attendees, discuss potential collaborations and continue the conversation at an evening Founders Meetup with a guest founder.
