Festive Block Printing on Paper Friday 27th November
The ancient craft of block printing has made a huge resurgence in recent years, made popular by designers like Molly Mahon, bringing these hand printed Indian block print designs to the masses.
If you have ever considered designing and creating your very own beautiful hand crafted designs on paper this could be the course for you. On this workshop, you will not only design and cut your own small stamp, you will then print this on to a range of paper products like gift tags and gift wrap and cards. You will then have your stamp to take away with you to use at home.
Simply bring along your design ideas for images, and learn how to translate this into a design, before cutting a stamp using Essdee Master Cut and then printing your design.
Please bring along: an apron, A6 ideas/drawings/images that inspire you and a large newspaper in which to transport your work home.
This workshop is suitable for people with a range of creative experiences, wishing to explore printing stamps onto paper for a maximum of 12 people.
YOUR TUTOR The workshop will be led by Alison Butler of Blooming Designs. With over 30 years’ experience as a textile designer and illustrator, Alison offers expert guidance with a warm and encouraging approach suitable for all levels.
THE VENUE
The workshop will be delivered in East Meon village Hall

The day runs from 10:00am –12.30 pm and includes tuition, materials, equipment use.
