Wine & Art
An art exhibition in a coffee house that turns into a wine bar. Yes, on purpose.
The Things We Cannot Keep brings together artists from our open call, all asking one question: can we love things without needing them to last forever? Expect work about people, places, memories and old versions of ourselves. Some of it is sad. Some of it is relief. One of the artists is properly weird, and we mean that as a compliment.
What to expect
Art on the walls. Wine in glasses. Artists in the room who will pretend not to watch you looking at their work. Everything is for sale, because the point is to sell art, not just nod at it.
What not to expect
White walls. Whispering. Someone in a black polo neck asking which gallery you’re “with.”
The details
Launch night: Friday 27 November, 17:30
Arthur’s House, 1 Seven Stars Corner, London W12 8ET
Free entry. Wine is not free. We checked.
The work stays up for a week after launch, in case you can’t make it or want to come back and finally buy the thing you’ve been thinking about.
Please RSVP
The venue is small, so we’re approving guests to keep it comfortable. If you can no longer come, please cancel so someone on the waitlist gets your spot. Letting go is the theme, after all.
