Honoring Cultures Past π€: Day of the Dead Altar Making ππ
βDay of the Dead is upon us, and one of the beautiful traditions that go along with the celebration is to make an altar for loved ones who have passed. We as TCKs have experienced loss in different ways, with cultures, friends, and experiences we've left behind. Let's honor the path that led us here and take a moment to reflect on our past by creating a beautiful altar in honor of our journey.
βChoose one or several of the following to bring for the altar:
βFood/Drink from countries/cultures you've lived in that you truly love
βTrinkets/Memorabilia from countries and friends that you cherish
βPictures with family and friends in countries and places past
βFlowers (any kind) - could be the national flower from a country or just any you like to place on the altar
βBooks gifted from friends that remind you of a certain period of your life or are about that country/culture
βAny object that you'd like to place and honor π€
