Just Hang: Vintage Cake Decor Workshop
Just Hang is back! In this 6th edition, join a friend of the Studio, Michelle (@hereforcakes) for a beginner-friendly Vintage Cake Decor workshop!
Learn the basics of vintage-style cake decorating and create your own beautifully finished mini cake to take home — no prior experience needed!
During the workshop, you’ll receive:
1 white and 2 coloured buttercream piping bags for practice and decorating
A piping practice sheet, cake tools, and a selection of piping tip
Additional decorative elements, including pearls
What you’ll take home:
Your own decorated 4-inch, 2-layer round cake (vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream)

Michelle is the cake designer and instructor behind Here For Cakes, a New York City-based cake studio known for handcrafted floral cakes and vintage-inspired designs.
With over seven years of experience, she specializes in hand-piped buttercream flowers, sugar flowers, and decorative cake artistry. Through both custom cakes and hands-on workshops, Michelle shares her passion for creativity and helps others discover the joy of cake decorating.
Studio Bumi
Studio Bumi hosts communal dinners for people who want to belong somewhere in this city. Each of our dinners and gatherings is hosted by people who started out as guests themselves.
Just Hang is a new Studio Bumi series centered around building community and empowering our community members to host their own gatherings. These events are opportunities for meaningful connection, with diverse themes and activities. Come hang out and let us know if have you have an idea for a gathering you want to host!
Cancellations & Refunds
We’re a small team and each gathering is thoughtfully planned based on the number of guests.
For this reason, all sales are final and we do not offer cancellations or refunds. If something comes up, you're welcome to either transfer your ticket to a friend or move it to a future gathering date (subject to availabilities), no later than 72 hours before the event—we’re happy to help coordinate either option.
If Just Hang is canceled or rescheduled by us, guests will receive a full refund or a transfer option.

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to the following:
Photography & Video Release. Photos and videos will be taken during the gathering for documentation and promotional purposes. By purchasing a ticket, you consent to being photographed and filmed, and allow Studio Bumi to use these materials across our website, social media, and other promotional channels.
Alcohol Consumption. If the event includes alcohol, please drink responsibly. You must be 21+ to consume alcoholic beverages.
Respecting the Space & Community. This is a shared space meant to foster connection. We ask all guests to show respect to fellow diners, staff and the space.
