This is a one-off extra session of a book group that we held last spring, where we pair Bible and classics texts. No beliefs required!
We're currently on hiatus for a couple months, but here is a sample session for anyone who's interested in the concept, including those visiting the city for Vibechella week. We’ll keep this session short, rather than taking the usual full two hours, so that people can get to another Vibechella event afterwards.
Please prepare by reading the texts described in this doc. (Look under "Summer one-off session: Strength and meekness".)
We’ll be doing some real classics: The Sermon on the Mount, a relevant psalm, and some selections from the Tao Te Ching. There should be plenty to discuss and compare!
