Be The Kindness Cupid In Your Life: The Practice of Compassion
This month, we’re focusing on self-compassion as a tool, a way to quiet the inner critic, soothe stress, and strengthen how we relate to ourselves and others. Through guided exercises and facilitated discussion, we’ll explore how kindness becomes an internal anchor: not something you “earn,” but something you can practice and return to when life feels heavy. Participants will learn how compassionate awareness can shift their emotional responses, deepen connection, and support real healing. As we build these skills together, we’ll move from understanding self-compassion to embodying it. First inward, then outward.
Purpose: Strengthen self-compassion and relational awareness.
Structure Example:
-Grounding practice: Brief mindfulness exercise to notice and soften critical self-talk.
-Guided sharing prompt: “How do I respond to myself in moments of struggle?”, Identifying common patterns of self-judgment and experimenting with compassionate reframes.
Outcome: Participants leave with self-compassion techniques they can apply daily to regulate emotions, reduce self-criticism, and strengthen their sense of internal safety.
