Please join us for a special preview of a WE26 workshop sponsored by Georgia Tech Project Management at the GT Global Learning Center (GLC) Room #139 from 6pm-7:30pm. There will be time to mingle for the first half hour with the talk starting at 6:30pm. This exclusive SWE conference workshop preview, "Glow Up Your Career: How to Lead with the PMP Advantage," will inspire you to make a career pivot via certification. This is a free event with a registration cap; make sure to register via Luma to guarantee your seat.

Parking/MARTA Information:

For those taking MARTA to the event, Midtown station is the closest stop. The GT Stinger Shuttle picks up from Midtown station and will drop you off directly at the GLC.

Note that parking is not included in the event registration. Parking recommendations from GLC website: The Tech Square parking deck, attached to the GLC, is accessible from Spring Street. Hourly rates range from $3.00 for less than an hour to $18 per day. The GLC can be accessed from the second level of the parking deck. The GLC parking garage address is 770 Spring St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30308-1031.

Paid parking is also available at the GT Hotel and Conference Center. The garage is accessible near the hotel's main entrance at Spring St. NW and Armstead Pl NW (across from Barnes & Noble) or via the garage entrance at Spring St NW and 4th St NW. Self parking is $21 for unlimited in/out access.

About the Event Speaker, Kizmet Charles:

Kizmet Charles has over 15 years of manufacturing and operational expertise in the production and manufacturing industries. She brings robust experience with building and sustaining cultures focused on performance, inclusion, servant leadership, strategic processes, and unyielding agility to the Georgia Tech Project Management program. As Newell’s centralized supply chain senior manager, Charles leads Lean Six Sigma activities for corporate support teams in Information Technology, Business Unit Supply Planning, and Global Business Services. This work drives process improvements and team member capability building. Charles is a champion and coach of data driven improvements using effective tools such as loss analysis, balanced scorecards, and value stream mapping. She holds an MBA from Emory and is a PMP.
