Wine Poetic x Land to Sea: Bob Kaufman
After a 3-month hiatus, Wine Poetic is back, and we've teamed up with Land to Sea and SF-based VESO Aperitifs to bring you an American focused workshop that spans poetry, jazz, and sensorial surrealism.
𖦹 During this 2ish-hour gathering, we'll explore the life & work of NOLA-born Beat poet Bob Kaufman, known in France as the Black American Rimbaud. Guiding us will be New York poet and sommelier, Dante Clark, and Wine Poetic founder, Darby Wagner.
Doors open at 6:30 PM and the symposium will commence around 7 PM. 𖦹
What is Wine Poetic?
Wine Poetic is an immersive symposium & workshop exploring the intersection of language, place, and taste—pairing the work of iconic artists & poets with heritage wines, spirits, and other culturally rooted beverages. Each gathering is designed as an intimate, multi-sensory environment for conversation, interpretation, and (self-)discovery.
Wine Poetic was founded by GNOSES and co-created by Darby Wagner (GNOSES) and Jackie Braje (The Poetry Society of New York) in 2023. The Poetry Society of New York remains a partner and co-producer for select events.
