About Event

The Dialogue, hosted by the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF), invite you to a closed-door roundtable on AI export controls and trusted access in the US–India technology corridor. Representatives from the U.S. Federal Government, industry experts, and Embassy of India, Washington DC are expected to join.

Questions of export controls and sovereignty are actively shaping market behaviour. With Indian developers directing significant token spend toward lower-cost open models, and a recent Dialogue study finding that 96 per cent of Indian AI developers rely on open source, the discussion will examine how to build a durable, collaborative AI stack between both countries keeping the China question in mind.

Although a broader bilateral deal has experienced mixed momentum, there remains significant potential for private-sector alignment and government-to-government collaboration on data center buildout, cutting-edge Quantum technologies, and AI safety frameworks following India's joining of the Pax Silica coalition.
