Notion for ECE: The "EC" Blocks for Workflows
Notion for ECE: The “EC” Blocks for Workflows is a beginner-friendly session designed for Electronics Engineering students of Cebu Technological University – Main Campus. The session introduces how Notion can be used to organize common academic tasks using its basic building blocks.
ECE students often handle multiple materials such as formulas, lab notes, and project documentation, which can become difficult to manage when scattered across different platforms. This session presents a simple approach to keeping these materials organized in one workspace using Notion.
The event will follow a guided and practical format. It will begin with a short introduction to common challenges in organizing academic work, followed by a live demonstration of how Notion blocks can be applied to ECE-related tasks. Participants will learn how to:
Use basic Notion blocks to structure notes, lab records, and simple documentation
Apply Math (LaTeX) blocks for writing and organizing formulas (e.g., V=I×RV = I \times RV=I×R)
Utilize Code blocks for formatting simple logic or firmware notes
Create simple tables or databases to list components and attach references such as datasheets
The session will also include a short walkthrough on how different Notion blocks can be combined to organize ECE-related notes, formulas, and project materials in one place. A brief open discussion will be provided for questions and sharing of ideas on how these methods can be applied to their own coursework.
By the end of the session, participants will gain a clear understanding of how to use Notion blocks as a practical tool for organizing their academic workflow and will receive a simple template that they can immediately use and customize.
