From the evolution of the data engineer role to the emergence of AI engineers, we’ll examine how technical responsibilities, skillsets, and team structures are changing, and what this means for organisations planning for the future.

This is a event for all data practitioners from junior to senior leaders and will bring together the entire Data & AI community as one.

The event will open with a Keynote from George Pavlou titled: Moving from ML to AI in a regulated world showcasing three forward‑leaning projects and how together, these innovations demonstrate how thoughtful, well‑governed AI can enhance oversight, strengthen controls, and enable safer innovation.

The event will feature a dynamic panel discussion, interactive conversation, and insights from industry experts on topics such as modern data platforms, data management, and stakeholder engagement. Our panel with discuss:

How is the role of a data engineer evolving as AI becomes more central to business strategy?
What differentiates a data engineer from an AI engineer today, and will that distinction still matter in 2026?
