Tana Learn Live: Commands and AI
A biweekly live series designed to help you get hands-on with Tana features. Each session blends a step-by-step walkthrough, live practice, and open discussion - so you don't just watch, you learn by doing.
Session: Commands and AI
So far, we've explored the outliner, supertags, and search nodes. Now it's time to automate and augment your workflow: commands and AI.
Command nodes let you build custom automations to enhance your workflows in Tana. Process voice memos and extract tasks, move nodes between workspaces, set fields and tags automatically. Add AI to transcribe meetings, generate summaries, and extract insights using AI agents.
In this session, you'll learn to:
Create and configure command nodes with parameters
Build multi-step automations triggered by buttons or the command line
Use AI commands and the Prompt workbench to customize AI processing
Set up AI agents for meeting notes and content extraction
Apply practical patterns you can use immediately
We'll tackle common questions like:
"How do I make commands that do multiple things?"
"What's the difference between regular commands and AI commands?"
"How can I use AI agents to process meeting transcripts?"
"When should I use commands vs. manual work?"
Come for an interactive session: we'll demo the building blocks of command nodes, show you how to configure AI processing, and explore practical automation patterns you can use right away!
